A Place to Breathe: How Golf Changed JP’s Life

JP West didn’t just start playing more golf. He found a place to breathe.

Before joining Youth on Course through Bank of America's Golf with Us, time on the course was limited. A few rounds here and there. Not enough to build rhythm or fully experience what the game could offer.

That changed with access.

With his Youth on Course membership, JP was able to play more often without the financial barrier that once held him back. What began as more time on the course quickly became something more meaningful.

“Being out on the course helps me clear my mind and stay calm,” JP shared. “It gives me a break from stress.”

With that continuing goal in mind, we are proud to announce that we have renewed our collaboration with Youth on Course for the fourth year. Youth on Course is a non-profit organization that began in 2006 in Northern California, addressing a critical need for course access to junior golfers by providing access to play local courses for $5 per round.

The Augusta National Women’s Amateur is one of the most prestigious events in women’s golf, held on the iconic Augusta National Golf Club, the same course that hosts The Masters.

This year, 18 Youth on Course alumni and 3 active Youth on Course members are competing, making up nearly 30% of the field. Together, they’ve played a combined 690 rounds through Youth on Course, a testament to the power of consistent, affordable access to the game.
